Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced and talented UX/UI Designer to design and shape unique, user-centric products and experiences. You will work closely with the team to define product and design strategy. Your role is to advocate for the experience and needs of our users, while working with our product team to ensure we are building software that also meets the business goals of our clients. You will be solving interesting UX problems and in the end helping to craft software than impacts humans. The ideal candidate will have experience working in agile teams, delivering clear design and functionality direction for each story. You will also work with our concept team (Product and UX strategy) in the early stages of a project and throughout. Our UX/UI Designer will create a digital style guide for each project, decide what touchpoints the user will interact with and where the touchpoints lead, design the touchpoints (buttons, icons, etc.), and design how the product will display on different screen sizes. Our current focus is finding someone who is experienced and passionate about creating beautiful, intuitive user interfaces that support a positive user experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with product experts to conduct user research and present findings and recommendations.
  • Brainstorm and sketch initial ideas both collaboratively and individually.
  • Design low to mid fidelity wireframes to clearly communicate user flows and interactions in the application.
  • Think through and clearly presents typical use cases and identify possible edge cases.
  • Research and stay up-to-date on UI research and industry standards and trends to create tools that follow modern UI guidelines (e.g. Human Interface Guidelines).
  • Strong visual design skills is a must. Aesthetics not only makes our products more attractive, but also improves their function, usability, and ability to communicate.
  • Expert in design software (Figma, Sketch, or similar), as well as tools used to communicate with the development team (Sigma, Zeplin, or similar).
  • Create or use existing digital style guide(s) to ensure consistent design language is used throughout the application.
  • Run design critique sessions. Be ready to present your work in an organized way for your team and clients to be able to see the user flow and provide feedback.
  • Be a revision expert. We need you to be great and listen to feedback from team members and clients, getting to the root of the suggestions, and incorporate that feedback into your designs.
  • Design high-fidelity comps and other design assets to be used to present to clients and share with developers for implementation.
  • Be a great team player, experienced in working with agile teams. Ability to collaborate closely with the Mutually Human team, as well as our clients.
  • Strong communication skills: be able to explain concepts equally well to other designers, developers, and clients.

Qualifications

  • 2 or more years of experience with UX/UI design.
  • Experience using Figma preferred.
